Class Evaluation

1.What are things you like about the class?

Things that I like about the class is that every time we meet we have to do a topic, usually about motivation, success, being focused etc. and I believe that doing and learning things about this makes us become a better person and makes us be prepared for later on in life. Also what I liked was that with every topic there was a video to have a better understanding about what we were talking about.

2.What are things you do not like about the class?

Things that I didn't like about the class was that usually when we would write a journal or write something else we would have to speak it out loud to the class but with the mic so that everyone could here what you were saying. Another thing I didn't like was that we had to be seated in our assigned seats, and sometimes we would learn about boring things like about the computer parts.

3.Recommendations for improving the class

Recommendations for improving this class would be to talk about more valuable lessons. If we were to talk more about valuable lessons then each and every one of us would learn from mistakes and now what we are expecting later on so that it won't happen again.

4.What was a highlight for you in the class?

The highlight for me in this class was that when we would use the Flashcard Machine website I would be able to look up cards and information about Forensic Anthropology. Since I want to be this when I grow up it helps me get information so that later on I can be prepared and be ahead of people who are looking forward into wanting to become this.

5.Did you really do your best?

In this class I believe I did do my best. I have a B in this class. I believe I did because every morning when we would meet I would go to my assigned seat and do the agenda that was provided for us. When i was finished with my agenda I would work on my flashcards set and just wait for further instructions.

6.Are you reading and writing in your Life Planning Goals Journal?

Yes, I am reading and writing in my Life Planning Goals Journal. Working on my Goals Journal made me accomplish many things that I wanted to succeed in. Re-reading my journal makes me and pushes me in doing what I believe is right to become a better person.

7.Are you committed to being a CTR person and seeking Personal Development?

Yes, I am committed to being a CTR person and seeking Personal Development because if you do good, respectful, responsible things then good things can come in your way as in bigger opportunities. If I am not a CTR person then all that will come my path are bad consequences and karma for not doing something politely or something that helps others.

The 10 Keys to Personal Power

                                                          Brian Tracy

Key 1: Clarity

Clarity means the quality in being clear, coherence, and intelligibility. Clarity is the ability to determine what you want to be, do, or have in your life. If you do not clear specific goals in life, then it is a possibility that you're gonna end up being nothing and not have accomplished anything in your life. You have to be decisive and have a vision. Particularly meaning if you want to reach your dreams then you have to dream it and create it. Many people lack in doing this because they believe it wont be possible. "Have vision. Determine what you want to be,do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going."

Key 2: Competence

Competence means the ability to do something successfully and efficiently. If you are competence then good things will come in your way. You would be proud of yourself because you accomplished something successfully and you didn't take any advantage of any opportunities. If you are dedicated into doing something then do it because later on you could get something even better. For example, if you try really hard in your studies and put effort into it then you could get many scholarships and recommendations. " If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

Key 3: Concentration

Concentration is the action or power of focusing one's attention or mental effort.
The law of concentration states that whatever you dwell upon, grows. The more you think about something, the more it becomes part of your reality. You have to be single-minded in the direction of your dreams and what you desire to increase your self-confidence. If you aren't concentrated in anything, for example, like in school, at home, doing homework, etc then you aren't gonna get anywhere because your focus and concentration is somewhere else that you think is important
and it could ruin your dreams etc. " Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything"

Key 4: Common Sense

Common Sense basically means good sense and sound judgement in practical manners. In other words, it also means the ability to learn from experience and then apply those lessons to subsequent experiences. For example, if you see a sign that says WARNING, then it is common sense that its something dangerous so you know that you cant touch it because something bad can happen. Without Common Sense then all efforts are in vain meaning all efforts are just going to be useless and pointless.

  • Train Your Mind
  • Think Things Through
  • Listen To Your Intuition
  • Learn From Setbacks

Key 5: Creativity

Creativity is the use of imagination or original ideas. In order to be creative you have to "think outside the box" meaning to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective. Thinking outside the box all sorts of possible solutions emerge. Being creative opens up your mind in seeing things a different way, a way that you even thought yourself was impossible. " Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

Key 6: Consideration

Key 7: Consistency

Consistency is the conformity in the application of something, typically that which is necessary for the sake of logic, accuracy, and fairness. For example if you want to accomplish a goal you have to be consistent. You have to work on it everyday in trying achieve it. You need to find the motivation to pursue them, practice consistency, positive thinking, and acting when you don't feel like it. " dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work." " Be consistent in your relationship, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person people can depend on. That if you say you'll do something you do it.."

Key 8: Commitment

Commitment is the state or quality of being dedicated to cause, activity etc. For example, if you are committed to someone then you shouldn't be talking to other people the same way you are talking to them and you should do anything possible to try to make what you guys have work and not let any bad things happen nor let objects get in between you guys. You need to be dedicated in what you want and need in your life. " No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success." " Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed"

Key 9: Courage

Courage is the ability to do something that frightens one. For example, lets say there is this bully at school and everybody is scared to say something to them because they have harsh actions. Someone has to have courage and the audacity to confront this bully so that they can try and stop him from doing bad things to people. If you have courage then you shouldn't be afraid of anything because you believe in yourself that you can do things people aren't willing to do because its either risky or it scares them. " The fear is the single greatest reason for failure in life."

Key 10: Confidence

Confidence can go both ways. It means the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something: firm trust, but also means a feeling of self assurance arising from ones appreciation of ones own abilities or qualities. For example, lets say people say things about you behind your back , you shouldn't worry about it because you know that they are nothing in your life and they shouldn't be a problem, you have to be confident about yourself as in the way you look, your actions etc. Another example, lets say you're doing a test and you're finished but you don't know if its right or wrong, you should be confident to yourself saying that you know its right and don't doubt yourself." You only get confidence by doing things over and over again."

Reflection:

All of these 10 keys to personal power benefit me into being a better person that I didn't know I could even be capable of. One of the keys I am applying right now is commitment, consistency, and common sense. The differences that they are making in my life is that they help me achieve things and they don't let me give up on what I want. I will incorporate the other keys into my life planning goals journal by being creative in the goals i want to achieve, be extraordinary, and be competence.
